Our main in-house service area includes North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana and Wyoming but we do accept repair orders from other parts of the country.

Clair: I have put a Hermle movement into a mantel clock, and the original hands do not fit the movement. I would like to use the original hands because they match the clock face better than anything else I have found. Can you drill out the old bushings and insert Hermle bushings? If so, what would it cost?

Ken: I received you hands today. I agree with you, the "Spade" hands you have are as ugly as sin. I looked at your hands carefully, I see trouble, nothing but trouble. I just don't see an easy way out.

Here is how I feel: once I touch your hands, I'm committed to doing something of value, and doing a good looking job of it, at a reasonable price. I believe I could do it, and do a good job of too, BUT, I bet it would take me a whole day. I can't in good conscience bill a customer for a whole day for so little.

I'm sorry to disappoint, but I think we should leave this sleeping dog alone. With your permission, I would like to return your hands to you?

Clair: I agree that sending the hands back is the thing to do. I have another pair that are not the right idiom but less ugly. I'll use them.

This is Bruce writing. I think I have everything working properly on the clock as of this morning. Worked on it most of the day yesterday. Didn't get the hammers adjusted just right for the hourly striking yesterday, but this morning just prior to 8 AM, made another adjustment. It seems to be working just fine now. We are both happy about it working again. After 20 some years of having it 'Bong" and then a few months of it not working cause we had just shut it down, it is nice to hear it again. Thanks for all your help and great service. We would certainly recommend you to any one else.

Now, we have a Kundo Anniversary clock that we purchased in England back in the very early 60's. It hasn't worked in years, and is just sitting on a shelf in a closet. We had a local clock person look at it once, he said he couldn't fix it. I think it has to do with the wire that holds the balls that turn back and forth is stretched or something. One of these days we need to get it working again. We bought it for our 3rd or 4th anniversary and we are about to celebrate our 50th.
