Dakota Clock Repair's resident horologist, Ken Muggli, traces his ancestry back to William of Trimms (1529) in the independent country of Graubünden now a canton of Switzerland.

Ken comes from a long line of Swiss clockmakers practicing the time-honored craft of clock repair (horology), steeped in history and honed by a personal desire to painstakingly pay attention to every detail.

Maintaining the Swiss tradition of artistry and craftsmanship in clock making are the essence of our service. You can rest assured that your clock is special to us!

At Dakota Clock Repair we do "Complete Clock Repair". Your clock movement will be completely dismantled and thoroughly cleaned. All parts are inspected and repaired or replaced as needed. We always replace both main springs, not just the broken one, as the other main spring is likely fatigued and could cause additional damage later when it fails. WE GUARANTEE OUR REPAIRS

If Dakota Clock Repair does a complete overhaul, we will guarantee our work for 1-year on spring powered (wind up) clocks, or clocks where we replace the whole movement with a brand new movement.

We guarantee that all work accomplished will be done in a workmanlike manner consistent with the latest Horological techniques applicable to your model and vintage. This covers all of our work and any parts we install.

If you feel your clock needs repair within the 1-year guarantee period, it is your obligation to bring or ship the clock to Dakota Clock Repair at your expense.

Our primary service areas include North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana and Wyoming, however we do accept repairs from outside our service area. If you ship your clock to us for repair, we suggest using a professional shipper to properly package and insure your precious timepeice.
